Industrial Revolution
The impact that the Industrial Revolution had on literature was huge. The industrial Revolution started 17 century and lasted until the to 18 century. This revolution change literature but it also had a hug impact on agriculture, mining, transportation and manufacturing. It was know as an industrial movement that change the way people live and social class. In the factories manual labor was replace with machines. Cities began to become modernize. More people started to move to the Urban cities instead of the farms. People saw that their was more opportunities in the city of making a living. Since this happen it had a hug expansion of newspapers and the periodical press, debate about political and social issues played an important role in the experience of the reading public. Some of the authors during this period tend to focus more on what is going with the people and how they are getting use to the changes. The Industrial Revolution had many positive aspect and negative aspects that both benefited the people but also cause harm. Both of these pieces of literature do a great example of showing us how the Industrial Revolution impacted the literature aspect.
In the literature area The Norton Anthology of English Literature showed the issues of the Victorian Issues. During this time many authors would write about the issues that were going on like evolution, industrialism. It has brought up a lot of issues with women questions and women roles. Women during this time had a lot of challenges that had immerged during this time. Women were not happy with what was going on.

Not only did women writers play a major role in shaping the terms of the debate about the Woman Question, but also women from the working classes found opportunities to describe the conditions of their lives."
Another piece of literature that was written during this time was The Pickwick Papers. Charles Dickens wrote this novel during this time. He wrote this in this time to describe the changes going on with the society. During these times the noble people were confused on what was happing. The writing during this era was all about what was going on and how people were not use to it and how much it affected people but as well benefited some.
